Role Summary/Purpose
The Consulting Engineer - Connection Systems will provide technical engineering leadership and oversight for quality engineering design covering both New Product Introduction (NPI) and requisition projects within the Manifold and Connection Systems (MCS) organization.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in the resolution of field issues, including corrective action to prevent re-occurrence
  • Drive continuous improvement in product technology, reliability, and cost
  • Enhance system perspective of all design teams
  • Provide technical leadership for design reviews, peer reviews, and design practices
  • Work closely with the MCS Chief Engineer in area of expertise. Support the Chief Engineer’s Office in the execution of technical goals
  • Remain cognizant of state-of-the-art in area of expertise
  • Support mentoring of engineers, individuals and teams, including global GE

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • MSc or BSc in in Engineering
  • Minimum 12 years of engineering experience, and a minimum of 10 years subsea experience within diverless connection systems, remote intervention and installation.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
  • Knowledge to rules and regulations witin the Oil & Gas industry ( ISO, ASME, API)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Highly proactive and results oriented
  • Strong analytical skills combined with excellent problem solving skills
