Role Summary/Purpose
The Structural Engineer will be an integral part of the Manifold & Connection Systems (MCS) team that is technical responsible for defining and delivering subsea manifold & connection systems to the programs and projects.

Essential Responsibilities
This role
  • Will be the technical responsible for engineering scopes and work packages within MCS projects. Complete necessary structural and piping analyses and design, studies and reports, detail design and fabrication detailing required for the construction of the equipment being supplied out of this organisation.
  • Shall execute and facilitate the design and analysis for assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
  • Shall provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
  • Will participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical reviews.
  • Will document technical data generated for the assigned project / program consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Will be the technical contact point for suppliers and participate in customer interactions with the project teams.
  • Has the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives.

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • MSc or BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
  • Perform general Subsea Structural and or Piping design engineering including analyses of structures, piping and mechanical components.
  • Will also be expected to participate in preparation or review of specifications, requisitions and other procurement support activities.
  • Proficient in the use of SESAM, ANSYS or similar software for analyses.
  • Candidate should be familiar with appropriate design codes and working within a close project team environment
  • Knowledge to rules and regulations within the Oil & Gas industry ( ISO, ASME, API)
  • Proven project technical leadership experience
  • Proven experience in leading a team to work across all functions/levels
  • Highly proactive and results oriented
  • Strong analytical skills combined with excellent problem solving skills
  • Self motivated and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
