Tasks:

We are looking for a Global Head of Marketing and Communications to work for our Marine and Ports business unit. Suitable location is Oslo or Helsinki. The Head of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for marketing and communications globally to raise the profile of ABB’s Marine and Ports business in a market that is undergoing a digital transformation. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who already has significant international marketing and communications experience to lead all aspects of communication and marketing and to manage a global team. The overall objective of the role is to contribute to ABB’s business success through measurable marketing and communications activities, which support the business strategy.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing the marketing and communications function (12 employees globally) to raise profile of ABB Marine & Ports internally and in the market
  • All aspects of internal and external communication, strategy and planning of marketing and communications activities
  • Development of content management and thought leadership strategy and ensuring a common communication to the market globally
  • Focus on marketing and communications content and tools which support the digital transformation of the industry
  • Management of international trade shows, conference sponsorship, customer publications and product launches
  • Responsibility of media relations and video production
  • Close cooperation with sales and service management
  • Working with the local sales and service teams to identify opportunities for internal and external communications
  • Responsibility for brand management and implementation of 2017 rebranding process in the business unit
  • You will work closely with ABB Group in relation to communications and processes
  • You will be part of the Global ABB Marine & Ports management team
